The Lamont victory will embolden the netroots, which will lead to them overreaching. They should remember he only won by 4 points.

TRUTH OF THE DAY – Netroots (7/24/06)
Democratic moderates should not worry about the netroots fully purging the party. Although Lieberman will probably be a casualty and the party will drift a bit more to the left, most moderate Democrats will be safe because the netroots will lose credibility if/when they overreach. They are already acting like a traditional interest group (selling out to Warner, etc.) and will be exposed as such.
